David Chang says Fuku is doing God’s work with new chicken fingers

Coming soon: Fuku Fingers

Fuku could’ve rested on its laurels. David Chang’s answer to the city’s fast-casual fried chicken sandwich void is still going strong despite the heat. What’s a little sunstroke when Instagram bragging rights are at stake?

But if you’ve stood in line for the fried chicken sandwich, then its Korean version with dashi slaw, then again for the not-so-token salad, it’s time to queue up again. Chang just announced that Fuku’s menu is gaining a third item: chicken fingers.

Dubbed Fuku Fingers, the new addition is “one of the few times God intended white meat to be eaten off the bone,” Chang wrote on Twitter.

They will be made with white meat, which Chang joked that the restaurant has been “throwing away … in order to serve the proper more delicious parts of the bird.” (Its fried chicken sandwich is made with thigh meat.)

Your move, Shake Shack.
