A former Newton teacher, who resigned amid allegations of possessing child pornography, faced yet more sexual misconduct charges Thursday.
David Ettlinger, 34, of Allston, pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office. That charge has a minimum of 10 years in jail.
Ettlinger is accused of sexually assaulting two children and videotaping the abuse.
Authorities have said that the children were not students in Ettlinger’s class.
He resigned from his job as an elementary school teacher at the Underwood School just before a termination hearing was set to take place Feb. 1.
A Suffolk County grand jury indicted Ettlinger on Feb. 28 and additionally charged him with posing a child in a state of nudity and secretly photographing a nude or seminude person.
Prosecutors in Middlesex County are also charging Ettlinger with various crimes since he was first arrested in January.
Authorities there revealed earlier this week that Ettlinger had photographs of students on his computer, but that they were not pornographic and not criminal.
