Mayor Bill de Blasio was full of jokes in an appearance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Monday night, and he also got a lesson on eating pizza the right way.

Two weeks ago, Stewart mocked de Blasio after the mayor was caught eating pizza in Staten Island with a fork and knife. During Monday’s interview, Stewart had a mushroom and sausage pizza waiting for the mayor and invited him to “break bread.”

De Blasio replied, “We are always ready for our pizza,” and whipped out a set of utensils from inside his suit jacket, to much laughter and applause.

Stewart then showed the mayor how to eat pizza with his hands, then pulled out a giant-sized soda, noting that “Bloomberg’s gone, right?”

The mayor’s visit to the show came after 8 inches of snow was dumped on the city.

After the last major snowstorm, de Blasio came under fire for a lack of snowplows on the Upper East Side that resulted in major traffic jams.

He made his entrance on the show on Monday joking, “I’m feeling good. I just wish we’d done a better job getting that snow up to the Upper East Side.”

“What else can we do to the Upper East Side?” Stewart asked later on.

To which the mayor replied, “We have an experimental effort to get locusts in up there.”

Stewart poked fun at the fact that de Blasio has already dealt with three snowstorms since taking office just over a month ago.

“Bloomberg, in 12 years, it never snowed once,” he joked.

“I think he paid the right guy,” de Blasio said. “I mean, he had the money.”

Summing up his experience as mayor so far, de Blasio said, “It’s the ultimate 24/7 job, but I love this place.”

“I’d just like the snow to end,” he added.
