Time is running out to get the nominations in for the United Way’s Community Builder of the Year award.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday at 5 p.m. Nominations for individuals, organizations, agencies, or neighbourhood groups can be submitted online via the United Way’s website.
The award is designed to celebrate the achievements of groups or individuals who have worked to help make Ottawa a better place in which to live.
“We know it takes many different people and organizations to build a stronger and healthier community for all,” said Michael Allen, President and CEO of United Way Ottawa. “These recipients embody the type of community spirit that is essential in making a lasting impact in the lives of so many.”
The winner will be announced at an awards gala at the Westin Hotel on May 19.
