An autopsy has revealed that the victim of Saturday’s homicide died as a result of injuries caused by multiple stab wounds, police said yesterday.
Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Aster Kassa of Ottawa after completing notification of next of kin. Her body was found in her Riverside Drive apartment on Saturday.
Kassa’s husband, Tamrat Gebere, 35, was arrested at the scene. He appeared in court Monday to answer to second-degree murder charges.
Police said the couple was separated at the time of Kassa’s death.
