Developer wins role in Lansdowne suit

Developers working to revitalize Lansdowne Park have won intervener status in a court case that could kibosh their project.

The citizens’ group Friends of Lansdowne Inc. had wanted to keep the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group out of their lawsuit that aims to have a judge review the City of Ottawa’s decision to sole-source the multimillion-dollar revitalization project.

OSEG also won the right to seek legal costs from the group if the lawsuit is ever found to be frivolous or vexatious.
