DiMasi gets 8 years in prison

Sal DiMasi, the former state house speaker, will spend 8 years behind bars in a federal prison.

Judge Mark Wolf handed down the multi-year sentence to the 66-year-old DiMasi this morning, according to news reports.

DiMasi and his co-defendant Richard McDonough were convicted earlier this year for corruption.

DiMasi is the third House speaker to be found guilty of a crime.
