Does Donald Trump have a $100M bounty on his head?

The world’s most wanted and most feared drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, is allegedly offering a $100 million bounty on billionaire presidential hopeful Donald Trump, dead or alive, according to a report published by TeleSUR, which states that sources close to the drug trafficker say Guzman was infuriated by Trump’s recent anti-Mexican remarks.

“He was mad. He wants Donald Trump dead and will pay any amount of money to have Donald Trump’s head,” an unnamed inmate was quoted by TeleSUR.

El Chapo has been an outspoken opponent of the real estate mogul, with an unconfirmed Twitter account attributed to Guzman threatening Trump in September, according to TeleSUR, which added that Trump, still campaigning, has enlisted security to counter the threats.

“We have officials all over the place, including right outside hanging out in trees,” Trump told reporters a few months ago in Charlottesville, Virginia, the TeleSUR report stated.

Trump said that Guzman’s escape from Mexican authorities showed the extent of corruption in the country, according to TeleSUR, which quoted Trump, “Can you envision Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton negotiating with El Chapo? … Trump, however, would kick his ass!”

Last week, a second arrest warrant for El Chapo to be extradited to the United States was issued. The outcome of this warrent is still unclear, according to TeleSUR, as El Chapo’s lawyers have been able to block all orders against extradition to the U.S.
