Twitter taught Donald Trump Jr. a lesson on Halloween on Tuesday.
The president’s eldest son was trying to teach his young daughter a lesson in socialism, but we’ll just say that lesson backfired. Miraculously.
“I’m going to take half of Chloe’s candy tonight & give it to some kid who sat at home. It’s never to early to teach her about socialism,” he tweeted.

The 6:53 p.m. post was paured with a photo of his young daughter and what was likely her haul of Halloween candy-post trick-or-treating. Chloe was dressed as a police officer.
Within hours his post had more than 72,000 comments, mainly from people who wanted to school Trump Jr. on socialism, Halloween and the difference between “to” and “too.”

Clearly, people had a problem using children tot make political points, also Trump Jr. spelled “too” wrong while trying to teach a lesson, so there’s that.
Then there’s Trump Jr.’s definition of socialism.
Rather than socialism — a political system is defined by the government controlling the means of production and the distribution of goods and services — it appears Trump Jr. was actually talking about good old-fashioned sharing.

Trump Jr. seems to be trying to make some point about high taxes on the rich to share their wealth with the poor, but our own capitalist system already depends on the wealthy subsidizing the poor by way of the graduated income tax — something Twitter users were also all too quick to point out.
