Shots rang out in broad daylight around 2 p.m. yesterday in the southeast community of Dover.
Just north of Peigan Trail on 26 Street SE, a drive-by shooting killed one and put two others in hospital, also sending the victim’s silver SUV straight into a fence and into a backyard. In addition, police cordoned off a second area where a possible suspect vehicle ended up.
“We are rounding up as many witnesses as we possibly can,” said Duty Insp. Vic Trickett.
Police say the shooting may be gang-related and have put homicide and gang units on the case. It appears as though shots were fired while the vehicles were moving.
