According to witnesses of a daylight shootout on 1420 Meadowbrook Road Park in Cyrville Saturday, two young men sat in a black Ford Explorer for around 20 minutes before one of them got out just after 5:30 p.m.
Dressed all in black, with a bandana covering his head, the man ran across the street and fired at least three shots at a group of teens playing on a basketball court that had just opened last week, witnesses said. Police said two males exchanged gunfire before fleeing. No injuries were reported.
Residents of the nearby Gloucester Community Housing complex reported hearing up to six shots fired. “This ain’t done. They’re coming back… That’s why everyone is so scared,” said a woman whose window was hit by a bullet.
Police seek a Somalian male, approximately 18 years old, and a Hispanic or Middle-Eastern male, approximately 25 years old.
