While the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is rethinking the runway show system, its board chairman Diane von Furstenberg ditched the format for a party at her Meatpacking flagship. On the ground floor models in retro printed work wear: bow-front blouses and smart trousers flaunted looks in vignettes set up like an office.

There, the queen bees of the modeling industry — Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn and Lily Aldridge — danced to disco music in glam wrap dresses with slits up to there while everyone in the audience clamored to get an Instagram. Like so many collections this week, a few pieces, like the one GiGi was shaking her groove thing in, are now available online.
