The Redskins are basically the NFC’s answer to the Miami Dolphins.
They’re a horrid team, yes, but they have not yet mailed this season in unlike some of the other dregs in the NFL. The ’Skins will play hard, and put up a fight.
Washington, in fact, recently won two games in a row straight up – beating the Lions in Landover on Nov. 24, 19-16, and the Panthers in Carolina on Dec. 1, 29-21.
The Redskins also had a strong showing at Lambeau Field last week, falling to the Packers by only five points. Here are Eagles Redskins spread odds over under total updated line:

This is bad news for the Eagles, who could use a cupcake game against a team that’s already quit right about now.
The Redskins have a respectable pass defense, ranking 11th in the NFL (225.0 yards per game), but their run defense leaves much to be desired. Washington ranks 27th in rushing D (134.8 yards per game) and they were ripped just last week by Packers back Aaron Jones for 134 yards and a TD.
Conversely, the Eagles’ run defense is a strength. Jim Schwartz’ unit is allowing just 89.6 yards per game.
Washington back Adrian Peterson will test the Birds, as he had a productive outing in the Redskins’ win over the Panthers two weeks ago (13 carries for 99 yards).
The Eagles D should also be able to feast on rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who is averaging just 166.2 yards passing in his five starts this season.
Washington has actually been better against the spread than the Eagles this season (Redskins are 6-7, Eagles are 4-9), but with the number at only 4.5 the more desperate team here is the one to bet on. One would think some of the momentum from the Eagles late win over Giants on Monday would carry over as well, but you never can be too sure with these 2019 Birds.
