2-UBC foreshore cleanup

• Where: Along the waterfront below UBC campus
• When: Today, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Health, safety and environment staff will join in the second annual foreshore cleanup. Garbage left by visitors and brought in by the tide will be sorted and recycled when possible.

3-Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet

• Where: Science World
• When: Opens today
• This new exhibition features 23 one-tonne globes, which spotlight aspects of global warming. The free exhibit is on display outside Science World on the sidewalk along False Creek.

4- Projecting Change Film Festival

• Four days of promoting sustainable living through film screenings, with interactive discussions following each film. Speakers include environmental activists such as David Suzuki.
