Eco-friendly shopping

With today’s craze on building a better environment for the future, the Greenmom Spring Market is the perfect place to find products and services that are kinder to our health and environment.

The second annual Greenmom Spring Market, tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Toronto’s CNIB CENTRE (1929 Bayview), is a one-day community shopping event that brings eco-conscious and health-aware shoppers together with ethical, green companies.

Show founder Monique Fabregas says it’s the place to go for information and solutions for healthier and greener family living.

“Parents-to-be and eco-conscious consumers can get free information about less toxic living, eco-consumerism, children’s health, and buy everything from BPA-free baby bottles to organic bedding and eco-friendly rugs to non-toxic toys,” said Fabregas.

This spring market brings like-minded Torontonians and families together, and according to Fabregas it’s a fantastic way to celebrate the good that is being done to make Toronto a more sustainable and more connected place to live.

The Spring Market will feature 80 businesses and organizations with the most inspired, innovated, stylish, ethical and eco-friendly ideas for the ultimate green shopping experience. The market will also include an organic and local café with a nutritious array of organic, locally produced, healthy food and refreshments for the whole family — eat-in or to go.

Visitors can also find handmade, personalized, one-of-a-kind creations from local moms and artisans and take the children to have a little fun in The Little Paper Kids’ Play Area.
