Edmonton Transit Community Fair celebrations

Edmonton Transit is hosting its first Community Fair as part of the
celebrations for the grand openings of McKernan/Belgravia and South
Campus LRT stations.

This is a free, family-oriented event, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the South Campus Station.

The Community Fair features opening ceremonies for the two LRT
stations, presentations, information and vehicle displays, and plenty
of activities for the kids.

Take a tour of South LRT construction,
Ferrier Garage or Old Strathcona on an historical bus. Tour tickets are
available on site

ETS has arranged free special event transit services for the day as there is no public parking on the site.

Free bus shuttles:

9 – 11:30 a.m., University Transit Centre to Health Sciences Station to South Campus Station

9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Southgate Transit Centre to South Campus Station

Free LRT:

8:30 – 11:30 a.m., Clareview Station to Health Sciences Station (catch the bus shuttle to South Campus)

11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Clareview Station to South Campus Station

The McKernan/Belgravia Station features kids activities as well as
presentations of the ETS TraXSafe LRT Safety Program in the McKernan
School gymnasium during the day.

The University of Alberta is a sponsor of the Community Fair,
participating in the vehicle display and making a presentation on
Universiade and South Campus development.
