Happy “Holy crap, it’s Curb is back” day! Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld, returns after a Curb Your Enthusiasm hiatus for season 9 of the HBO hit.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 release date has arrived. What time is Curb Your Enthusiasm on?

The tongue-in-cheek peek into the life of Larry David premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. on HBO.

The website teases: “This season, as ‘single Larry’ continues to navigate the L.A. dating scene, a faulty alibi ends up landing him in New York City for an extended stay —where he proves that faux-pas and character assassinations can occur just as easily in the Big Apple as in Hollywood.”

The new season of Curb is not a Larry David reboot.

Shows like Fuller House and the Ghostbusters movie remake might have ushered in a new era of TV reboots and revivals, but don’t call this a comeback.

David has a deal with HBO that allows him to make new seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm pretty much whenever he wants. The show hasn’t aired a new episode since season 8, episode 10 “Larry David vs. Michael J. Fox” on Sept. 11, 2011. The episode airing on Oct. 1 (“Foisted!”) is simply season 9, episode 1 of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Other people like it. Eh, why not try it?

If you haven’t been a Curb fan from the beginning and you’re not sure you want to commit to another show, how do you know if HBO deserves you? Those hours devoted to Game of Thrones? Totally worth it, right?

Also, it won a few awards. According to the show’s website: “Curb Your Enthusiasm was nominated for four Emmys in 2008, including Outstanding Comedy Series. It won the Golden Globe in the Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy category in 2002. In 2003, Robert B. Weide won a directing Emmys for his work on the series. The series has also received awards from the Writers Guild of America, Directors Guild of America, Banff Television Festival, American Film Institute and Monte Carlo Television Festival, among others.”

Curb Your Enthusiasm is executive produced by David, Jeff Garlin, Gavin Polone, Alec Berg, David Mandel, Jeff Schaffer, Tim Gibbons and Erin O’Malley.

If you need a refresher course, you can catch reruns of Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO2 or settle in with a binge guide or “Curb Catch Up Clips.”
