Eleven Madison Park ranked fifth best restaurant in the world

The annual list of the world’s 50 best restaurantswas released and New York City’s very own Eleven Madison Park was honored as the 5th best.
In a post profiling the restaurant, Eleven Madison Park was described as “dazzling” and yet devoid of “a hint of stuffiness.”
An odd dessert dish was even described:
“Dishes are playful and often interactive – the ‘Name That Milk’ dessert comes as an ornate wooden box containing four bars of specially commissioned Mast Brothers chocolate, some pencils and a card with four animal drawings. Diners must taste each bar to determine which belongs to which animal: cow’s milk, sheep’s, goat’s or buffalo’s.”
Considering the only milk most humans have ever tasted is cow’s milk, and their mother’s breast milk — it seems like identifying buffalo’s milk, sheep’s milk and goat’s milk would be a bit of challenge.
An expensive one at that, as the restaurant’s “multi-course tasting menu” costs a bargain $225 per-person.
The Yelpreviews for Eleven Madison Park provide an interesting “normal people” insight into the restaurant.
For example, Yelp reviewer “Abigail T.” of Glendale Queens (who gave Eleven Madison Park three out of four stars) wrote:
“EMP is fancy shmancy dinner fit for special occasions or if you have the dough to throw. The whole dinner will last between 3-4 hours so plan accordingly.”
The number one restaurant on the list was Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca.
