Emma Thompson is setting herself up to be the best part of this year’s awards season. After drinking a martini on stage and throwing her heels over her shoulder at the Golden Globe Awards, the actress ruled at yet another event, Saturday’s SAG Awards when she photo-bombed “12 Years a Slave” actress Lupita Nyong’o.
Thompson is quite feisty for 54.When we interviewed the star for her new film, “Saving Mr. Banks,” back in December, the British actress had wowed a press conference audience with a rather athletic entrance, vaulting herself over the dais to, legs lifting high over the table, to get to her seat. “I must, I think, in a past life been some sort of court jester. Because I seem to make it my aim in life to get a laugh. Any way you can,” she told us.
