Bolton Wanderers face off against West Bromwich Albion today at 2:55 p.m. ET at Reebok Stadium where the hosts will hope to keep the good times rolling against the Baggies.
The Wanderers have lost just one of their last 13 home matches against West Bromwich in all competitions.
Bolton is 5-7-15 with just 22 points this season as they sit in the relegation zone at 23rd in the Championship. Bolton has struggled to score goals this season as they are last in goals scored with 18. They’ve been downright bad at home having scored just eight home goals this season. That’s the worst home mark in the league.
This matchup will be Bolton’s first game after a week-long break. They are coming off a 2-1 loss to Bristol City back on Jan. 12.
To add more problems, Bolton will be without Norwich City loanee, Yanic Wildschut until April after undergoing surgery on his ankle. Wildschut suffered his ankle injury back in the first round of the FA Cup.
At the opposite end of the table, West Bromwich has a record of 13-8-6 with 47 points, good for fourth in the league. They are just seven points back of Leeds United for the top spot as the possibility of a return to the Premier League remains strong.
The Baggies haven’t won in their last three league games and are coming off a 1-1 draw against Norwich City in their last contest back on Jan. 12.
Still, they are first in the league in goals scored with 55 and they are first in goal difference with a plus-20.
Forward Dwight Gayle leads the Baggies with 14 goals on 43 shots in 22 games so far this season.
