Enjoy the weather now…

Those who basked in the sunshine, had a cold beverage on an Edmonton patio or hit the links this weekend had better savour the memory.
Wet snow is forecast for Alberta’s capital next weekend.
“Even though the weather is nice, it can always change in a hurry,” said Graham Schiewe, owner of the Bonnie Doon Flowers Garden Centre yesterday.
Schiewe says many took advantage of the warm weather to buy indoor plants, along with planning their outdoor gardens.
“This nice weather does make a lot of people start thinking about what to grow in the outdoors, but it’s still too early yet.”
Staff at Western Cycle were scrambling to keep up with the amount of shoppers coming into its store on 124 Street because of yesterday’s warm weather, says cashier Stephanie Saeles.
“People are usually after bikes, sunglasses and helmets when it gets like this in April,” said Saeles.
Golfers eager to play a round were forced to watch yesterday’s final round of the Masters at home as the now opened Mill Woods Golf Course was booked solid, said course staff.
“It’s been absolutely insane here,” said its pro-shop manager, Warren Ketter.
Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures hovering around the low to mid-teens through Thursday, before the Weather Network, in its forecast, says the city will be hit with a wet, winter wallop Friday.
