’16 and Pregnant’ dad Zak Hegab in jail for child molestation

Zak Hegab, a father who appeared on the third season of “16 and Pregnant,” is facing charges of aggravated sexual assault, reports The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.

Hegab appeared on the MTV show in 2011, when former girlfriend Kianna Randall was pregnant with their son Kay’den. Hegab, 21, has been in a Tarrant County, Texas, jail cell since August 18. He is being charged for aggravated sexual assault with a $40,000 bail, and parole violation.

This is not Hegab’s first run-in with the law. He has a long rap sheet and along with his ex, Randall, was arrested for multiple armed robberies in 2011. Randall was taken to jail and received 10 years of probation, but she was arrested again in December 2014. The Ashley reports that he has been in jail at least one more time between the two incidents.

In Texas, sexual assault on a child is considered aggravated if the child was under 14 years old at the time of the incident, a deadly weapon was used, a “date rape” drug was used or serious bodily harm was threatened or carried out.
