20th NYC Restaurant Week registration opens Monday

Obsessive Yelpers, warm up your clicker fingers. Although the main event doesn’t start for another two weeks, registration for the 20th annual NYC Restaurant Week opens online today.

From July 16 to Aug. 10 (with most restaurants excluding Saturdays and Sundays), hundreds of New York’s top fine-dining restaurants will be offering three-course prix-fixe meals at deep discounts. Prices, which have stayed the same since 2006, are $24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner — drinks, tips and tax not included.

“We’re proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of NYC Restaurant Week, providing New Yorkers and visitors the opportunity to sample some of the finest restaurants in the world at a fraction of the regular price,” says George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, the city’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization.

More than 300 restaurants will be participating this summer, including the following regulars, which have participated in every NYC Restaurant Week since 1992: Barbetta, Brasserie, Capsouto Freres, Chin Chin, Delmonico’s, Gotham Bar and Grill, Mesa Grill, The Palm, Petrossian, Remi, The Russian Tea Room, Shun Lee Palace, Steak Frites, Tribeca Grill, Victor’s Cafe and Water’s Edge.
