Looks like there will be a lot fewer visits to the candy shop for 50 Cent. The “P.I.M.P.” rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today, according to court documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal. The filing, presentedin the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., reported that Fiddyis swamped by debts ranging from $10 million to $50 million, and it can only be assumed that at $5 million of that is related to the recent decision in his ongoing sex tape lawsuit, in which a jury reportedly ordered him to fork that much overto a Florida woman who claims he humiliated her by posting a video of the two online. Here’s to hoping he did, in fact, party like it’s his birthday, because there’s not a lot more to celebrate these days for the rapper.
