An actress has lost a $1 million lawsuit against a movie database that revealed that she was seven years older than she claimed.

Huong Huang, who performs as Junie Hoang, said offers of work dried up after the Internet Movie Database — owned by Amazon — correctly revealed on her profile that she was 41.

But a jury in Seattle yesterday rejected her claim for $1 million in damages, after she alleged the website was guilty of breach of contract, fraud, violation of privacy and consumer protection laws. The actress had been supported by two acting unions, who said the IMDB "facilitated age discrimination."

Speaking after the trial, Hoang said she was trying to persuade the database to change its policy on the use of ages in profiles.

During a two-day civil trial, it emerged that Hoang initially provided details to IMDB for her profile, but reduced her age by seven years. She later asked the database to remove the information, prompting it to search local records to reveal her true age.

Hoang last appeared in the 2011 movie "Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver."
