According to a British tabloid, the U.S.-based NFL is apparently courting Adele to perform at next year’s halftime show. The Sun reports an anonymous NFL source who claims, “There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up. She’s sold out every date on her tour, everyone wants a piece of her and they know they can bank on her bringing in the viewers.”

Adele would be following the footsteps of headliners Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars with the 2017 Half Time Show — and according to report, she’d bring pal Ryan Tedder and his band, OneRepubic, along for the ride.

However, it’s not NFL execs holding up this spectacular chain of events — it’s apparently Adele.

Again, says this totally anonymous and allegedly affiliated source, “It’s Adele’s nerves that are the issue — it hasn’t been an easy sell.”
