OK, I guess it’s time for me to stop whining about the polar vortex. Alexander Skarsgard is at an actual pole, and the cold bothers him so little that he has no problem stripping bare on the frozen tundra.
The “True Blood” star is participating in a celebrity race to the South Pole for charity, because of course that’s what he does in his time off. His guide,Inge Solheim, posted the above pic of the chilled out star on Instagram on Jan. 7: “#southpole-30C What are you reading Alex? The script for season 7 of#truebloodHBO? :-)#alexanderskarsgard,” the caption reads.
For us Americans, that’s minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit, which — is not that bad, honestly. I think it was colder than that in Nebraska yesterday. The polar vortex really puts things in perspective.
This whole thing does raise several questions: What book is Skars reading? How did he manage to take off all his clothes but couldn’t bear to part with his sunglasses? And hey, does Alexander Skarsgard always get completely naked to go to the bathroom? Someone should tell him that he can just pull his pants down.
