Does Rachel McAdams have a new boyfriend? Does Jake Gyllenhaal have a new girlfriend? Are the new boyfriend and girlfriend Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams, respectively?
These are questions we cannot answer with certainty, but the two have apparently been getting friendly lately. McAdams and Gyllenhaal are currently shooting “Southpaw,” a boxing drama, in Pittsburgh. They’ve been spotted having dinner together there, as well as in New York before attending a boxing match at Madison Square Garden. A source told Page Six that the pair “looked very happy and friendly.”
Now, they could just be friendly costars researching their roles. But let’s not let that stand in the way of our evaluation of their coupledom. Would they be good together? The big problem with Gyllenhaal is that he’s not Ryan Gosling, who we all know is Rachel McAdams’s sole mate, but leaving that aside they seem pretty well matched. They’re both smart, cute brunettes who pick good movies to be in. All right. They have my permission to proceed, at least until Gosling finishes building McAdams’s house.
