Ben Affleck says being a movie star is about as fun as being a suspected murderer, at least when it comes to love and marriage.

"The crucible by flashbulb," he told Playboy of his relationships with the Jennifers (Lopez and Garner). "It was magazines then, and those days are more or less gone. Now it’s online, but it’s the same thing. At the nadir of that I felt I was being treated worse than Scott Peterson, who at least got the benefit of the wordallegedwhen they talked about him."

On the other hand, Scott Peterson did not get paid millions of dollars for murdering his wife, nor did he get to marry the girl from "Alias." So being a movie star still seems like a slightly better career path than wife-killer.

The "Argo" star is not just being a whiner, though — he and Garner have three children, and the relentless hounding from the paparazzi has put them in some scary situations. "[The paparazzi] used to take pictures of our children coming out of preschool, and so this stalker who had threatened to kill me, my wife and our kids showed up at the school and got arrested. I mean, there are real practical dangers to this," he said.

Yikes! I hereby resolve never to look at pictures of the Affleck-Garner kids again. This is a big sacrifice on my part, because they are adorable.
