After his Oscar win Sunday, Casey Affleck addressed allegations of sexual harassment against him, telling The Boston Globe,“everyone deserves to be treated with respect in the workplace and everywhere else.”
Besides denying the accusations, the "Manchester by the Sea" actor had not said much about the lawsuits brought against him by two women during the making of his 2010 mockumentary "I'm still here." Though the cases are settled, theyprevent either party from discussing the terms.
Cinematographer Magdalena Gorka and producer Amanda White, who brought the claims, alleged they "received near daily barrage of sexual comments, innuendo and unwelcome advances."
Gorka claimed Affleck crawled into her bed while drunk and when she awokearms were around her.
White said she received "uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances"from Affleck, who also allegedlylocked her out of a hotel room while he was entertaining another woman.
