Apparently Dwayne Johnson was serious about that whole POTUS thing

Dwayne The Rock Johnson Cut Out Firefly Festival

As you may recall, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — star of not-that-good “Baywatch,” and maybe also your dreams, I don’t know — can’t stop talking about running for president. It appears, basically, that once y’all elected Donald Trump, Johnson had the epiphany that any old inexperienced person could run for the highest office in America.

First, he told GQ that he had been giving a presidential run a bit more thought in recent months. “A year ago, it started coming up more and more,” he said. “There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think, ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.’

Then, he told Jimmy Fallon that he’s been flattered that some people want him to be this country’s leader. “There’s a national poll that just came out … that brought together Republicans and Democrats in saying that I would beat Donald Trump if we had an election today to become president… I’ve really been blown away.” Cool!

Now, we’re getting an itty bit closer to like, this whole ridiculous situation coming true.

The Hill reports that campaign committee “Run the Rock 2020” filed on Johnson’s behalf to draft him for the 2020 election. Gotta admit that “Run the Rock 2020” does have quite a delightful little ring to it.

The form was filed by Kenton Tilford, and nobody knows who he is and how or if he even knows The Rock. Also, LOL, what kind of name is Kenton?

No word from The Rock yet, or whether or not this is his doing, but at this point, having a wrestler-turned-actor-turned-politician wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen to our country. Especially seeing as our current presidency is akin to a poorly scripted reality show as is.
