Rumer Willis — a woman primarily famous for being the eldest spawn of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis — has taken to her Instagram to share an important message. She’s sober!
The 28-year-old one-time “Dancing with the Stars” contestant admitted to being six months sober via an Instagram post with really flattering lighting. You know, the kind that looks effortless, but you know baby girl spent like, a whole hour setting it up. “I will be the first one to say I’m not perfect and I mess up sometimes and every once in a while [sic] I get it right but I wanted to share this because I am really proud of myself.” Holy run on sentence!
“Yesterday I celebrated 6 Months of Sobriety,” she continued. “It’s not something I planned on but after the long journey of getting here I can honestly say I have never been more proud of myself in my entire life. Thank you all for the love and support and remember to be gentle with yourself.” Cool!
I mean listen. Getting sober is a hard thing to do, and I’m glad Willis is finding her path. But I have so many questions. Sober from… what? Booze? Hard drugs? Compulsively playing Two Dots whenever she can afford the downtime? Not to pry, but I need to know details to actually be able to make a snap judgement about Rumer and her Instagram post about sobriety. I like to have all the facts before I toss them away in favor of a first impression!
But congratulations to Rumer! It’s certainly brave to be sober all the time when your president is tweeting a video of him “wrestling” CNN.
