Jake Gyllenhaal probably didn't expect his infamous past with Taylor Swift to come up during the press tour for his new movie "Stronger."
The actor shared a light-hearted Q&A video on Facebook featuring himself and Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman, whom he plays in the film. The duo has gotten pretty close over the years, so it's no surprise that the Chelmsford native gave Gyllenhaal a bit of roasting.
After joking about wanting "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds to play him in "Stronger," Bauman got Gyllenhaal to briefly talk about his famous ex.
"If you lost your legs in real life, do you think Taylor Swift would write a song about it?" Bauman says in the clip.
"For me, or about it?" Gyllenhaal replies.
"For you, like a country song," Bauman says, prompting Gyllenhaal to respond, “She’s sort of moved more into pop now."
Gyllenhaal got the chance to put Bauman in the hot seat as well with a bunch of Boston-related questions.
"What's your favorite, all-time Boston movie besides 'Steal Magnolias?'" the actor asks.
"'Good Will Hunting,'" Bauman says, which received some shade from Gyllenhaal, who replies with one word: "Original."
The Academy Award winner also poked fun at Boston actor Mark Wahlberg, who also recently starred in a Boston Marathon movie, last year's "Patriots Day." Gyllenhaal questioned Bauman over whether he's ever eaten at Wahlburgers.
"Have you ever actually eaten a Wahlburger?" Gyllenhaal says. "If so, what happened to you two or three hours later?"
