Check out Manhattan’s new ice bar, Minus5

It’s hot, hot, hot in NYC in the summer, but city folks now have a new way to cool off: the new Minus5 Ice Bar, located in the Midtown Hilton Hotel (1335 Ave. of the Americas). The year-round attraction is already in Las Vegas, at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place and Monte Carlo, and now it’s New Yorkers’ turn to get their brrr on.

Everything at the -23 degree New York outpost is made of 100 percent ice, including the bar, tables, benches, walls and glasses guests drink out of. Ice sculptor Peter Slavin handcrafted the pieces in the 2,500 square-foot space.

It’s sure to be the coolest place around.
