DAILY VIDEO: The ‘Boyhood’ honest trailer is here

Richard Linklater’s “Boyhood” might be an overwhelmingly beloved Best Picture favorite, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun at its expense. Screen Junkies gives the Oscar front-runner the Honest Trailer treatment, renaming it “12 Years a Boy” and pointing out some awkward points about the groundbreaking film, like how if it were shot like a normal movie everyone would be complaining that it had a terrible script. Who knows, maybe this one was put together by the “Birdman” team hoping to keep undermining their biggest competitor. All bets are off with only five days of Oscar voting left, after all.
