For those sad to hear Chelsea Handler will be leaving her E! show behind, fear not: the comedian has signed a deal with Netflix. Not only will she have a new show (format to be determined later) premiering in 2016, she'll also have a standup special and four "docu-comedy" specials. It will be the first talk show effort from the ... well, they're not quite a network. Let's call them a content provider.
Of course, it's unclear how "late night" translates to a format with no set schedule. Will they release the show at a certain time every day? Or try and see if people will binge-watch the way they do with "Orange is the New Black" and "House of Cards"? Details are scarce for the moment, but at least we know what the only woman in late night is up to next.
