Cheryl and Liam Payne are cool British parents now

In case you forgot, babies are on trend. All the cool kids are doing it.

Cheryl, formerly Cheryl Vernandez-Fersini, formerly Cheryl Cole, welcomed a baby boy this weekend with partner Liam Payne. You know, the one guy from One Direction. Not Zayn, or the one with the hair or the one who got arrested for assaulting some people at the airport. Or the fourth one nobody cares about — the other one.

The couple was very private during Cheryl’s pregnancy, but she did share the news via Instagram over the weekend.

On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever ?

The lil babe is the first for both Cheryl, 33, and Liam, 23. I literally can’t wait for them to irrevocably ruin this baby’s life by giving him a ridiculous name.
