Chris Brown was “high as a kite” when he was pulled over for riding a dirt bike without plates in Amsterdam’s Red Light District Friday, according to TMZ.

But, luckily for the the pop star, he was only asked to follow officers to the station and pay a fine for the unregistered vehicle.

It’s unclear whether Brown’s celebrity played a role in his treatment, though the responding officers don’t seem to recognize the singer.

Later, the singer posted a few videos on his Instagram from inside the police station:

The singer told fans he “just bought the bikes” and “forgot about the license plate.”

He added that the police were “really nice about it,” noting, “I really like the police out here—cool as s—, for real.”

Apparently! According to TMZ, Brown “clearly could have been busted for DUI” as he and his buddies starting riding only minutes after enjoying some marijuana in one of the city’s famed coffee shops.
