Chris Brown is having a time of it.

Just two days after being accused of assaulting a woman in a San Diego nightclub, the rapper has been charged with a hit and run as well as driving without a license by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, according to E! News. Brown has taken to Twitter to defend his name about the second allegation.

“It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous,” hewroteon Twitter. Followed by, “I have a valid drivers license andI gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene.”

“She contacted the cops thinking of apaydayfrom Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures.”

“My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for thisbullyingand yellow journalism!”

“My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after ‘the hit and run”. NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gottaclear my name.”

On May 21, Brown allegedly struck another car but refused to give his driver’s license number and fled the scene. His arraignment is set for July 15, and he faces a up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for each offense.

It’s unclear how the new charges will effect Brown’s ongoing probation for his assault of Rihanna.
