Class with the Countess

We almost (please note the use of the word “almost” here) feel badly for Victoria, the 16-year-old daughter of “Real Housewives of New York” star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. When your mother writes a book called “Class with the Countess” you’re almost guaranteed to act like a philistine (see: “How to Act When Your Parent is a Minister/Judge/
Government Official”). However, most of us ordinary rubes don’t drop the N-word in a YouTube video, like young Victoria did, and now the Countess is sending out her apologies. “I am the parent of a teenager, and as any parent can attest, teenagers go through periods of doing things that are wrong and not appropriate and that are later regretted,” she tells PopEater. “My daughter Victoria knows that the behavior she exhibited was unacceptable. I have chosen to deal with this as a private family matter and an opportunity to discuss consequences of our actions.”

Someone get Mel Gibson on the phone — he could probably stand to hear this lecture as well.
