Coachella 2014 lineup announced: Outkast, Arcade Fire, Muse headline

outkast Welcome back, Outkast.

We’re sorry Ms. Jackson, but this Outkast reunion is totally happening at Coachella this year. Hey ya! This lineup is so fresh and so clean.

Actually, aside from the aforementioned reunion that the Internet is pretty psyched about, the Coachella 2014 lineup is pretty… OK. Not bad, mind you — there are some heavy-hitters on this bill, and some fresh talent — but, on the whole, the big reveal was a tiny bit underwhelming. Outkast kicks off the fest, which runsApril 11-13 and April 18-20, with a bang, headlining an eclectic first day lineup that includes indie rock vets The Replacements, current indie darling sister act Haim, electro acts like Bonobo, Chromeo and rarely touring The Knife (nice), emo vets AFI, Ellie Goulding, The Afghan Whigs and more.

Muse (sorry, but yawn) headlineday two, with support that includes Lorde, Queens of the Stone Age, Pharrell, Chvrches, Foster the People, the Head and the Heart, Nas, Sleigh Bells, Washed Out, Kid Cudi and Dillon Francis.

Expansive indie titans Arcade Fireheadline day three. Also wrapping up the festival are Beck, Neutral Milk Hotel, Lana Del Rey, Chance the Rapper, John Newman, The 1975,Motörhead and Flosstradamus.

This is a totally decent 2014 lineup, and one still worth traveling west for, but are we wrong in our “meh” estimation? Weigh in with your comments, and let us know who you’re excited for — and who you’d have like to have seen on the bill.Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m at Coachella’s homepage, where you can also peep the full lineup.
