“Blurred Lines” was the hottest jam of the summer, so it’s no surprise it inspired this Svedka cocktail — perfect for having on hand during this Sunday’s MTV VMA awards.
Blurred Limes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 parts Svedka Strawberry Colada
1 part sour mix
6 Thai basil leaves pulled
Soda water
Directions: Lightly muddle basil leaves in a cocktail shaker. Combine remaining ingredients, except soda. Add ice and shake well. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice. Top with soda and stir lightly to mix. Garnish with lime wedge and straw.
As an alternative to sour mix, dissolve 1 tsp sugar in fresh juice from half a lime before muddling. Garnish with an orange slice and skewered cherry. Prepare to begin working on your hottest moves for Robin Thicke’s next big music video.
