The cocktail revolution continues with the Philadelphia Charity Cocktail Social, taking place four Monday nights in March, April and May, starting March 24. Top bartenders in the city will visit bars other than their own in a “cocktail exchange program.” Half of the proceeds from the featured drinks they pour — at $8 a pop — will go to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.
The mixologists include Phoebe Esmon and Christian Gaal ofEmmanuelle (1052 N. Hancock St.), Michelle Curtis of Lemon Hill (747 N. 25th St.), Michael Treffehn of The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. (112 S. 18th St.)and Vince Stipo ofVernick Food & Drink (2031 Walnut St.)
March 24: Beefeater and Plymouth gin cocktails at Lemon Hill
April 14: Bols Genever gin cocktails at Emmanuelle
April 28: El Dorado rum cocktails at Franklin Mortgage
May 12: Buffalo Trace bourbon cocktails at Vernick
