Dance off brunch at Alma de Cuba

Alma de Cuba's three floors are about to fill up with daytime dancers. Alma de Cuba’s three floors are about to fill up with daytime dancers.

Alma de Cuba is helping diners work off eggs benedict calories with a weekly brunch dance party, kicking off this weekend. Brunch starts at 11 a.m. but don’t dawdle too long because every Saturday the restaurant’s three floors will turn into a daytime club at 1 p.m., with DJs spinning Top 40, hip-hop and R&B hits.

Local favorite DJ DeeJay will helm the turntables for the first brunch/dance combo.

Nosh on classics like French toast or a spinach and cheddar omelet, or stick with Alma de Cuba’s Latin theme and order a manchego quesadilla or a Cuban sandwich. And go ahead, prep yourself for the dancing with a bloody mary — or two.
