Embrace the holiday spirit with carolers, Santa and a tree lighting on East Passyunk Avenue. Or, just come for the free food.
This Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m., East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District and Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation are hosting a tree lighting party at the Singing Fountain, complete with Christmas music, a visit from Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick and free snacks from Belle Cakery, Black ‘n Brew, Noord, Stateside and others. Ms. Goody Cupcake will be selling holiday-themed treats.
Want to get a jump on your holiday shopping? Stores along the avenue will stay open late after the party, and several will have sales. Pick up something for your favorite fella at Metro Men’s Clothing with the 15 percent off storewide discount, or pick out decorations for the tree at Urban Jungle.
