Obama knows the power of a good summer jam. To get pumped for the Democratic National Convention, he rocked out to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” To close out his last summer at the White House, POTUS is taking out all the stops with his dual summer that goes from day to night. For his Daytime playlist, it’s easy to imagine Mr. President busting some goofy dad moves (effectively embarrassing Sasha and Malia) to the beat of Janelle Monáe’s “Tightrope” or bobbing his head to the sounds of Jay Z or Prince. He slows it down for his Nighttime playlist with lots of R&B, jaz, and blues kicking it back to the 70’s with “So Very Hard to Go” from Tower of Power and keeping it fresh with Chance the Rapper’s “Acid Rain.” And we all know who POTUS is thinking of when “My Funny Valentine” comes on… 😉 With 20 songs on each playlist, Ba-Rock Obama’s playlists could bring both sides of the House (wink) down!
