Poor Elizabeth Olsen always does things a little later than her big sisters. The "MarthaMarcy May Marlene" star, who followed big sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen into show business, is reportedly engaged - several weeks after Mary-Kate's own engagement.
Elizabeth Olsen, 25, is engaged to fellow actor Boyd Holbrook, 32, according to Us Weekly. The two have been dating since 2012, when they met on the set of their film "Very Good Girls." If that seven-year age difference gives you pause, consider that 27-year-old Mary-Kate just got engaged to Olivier Sarkozy, the 44-year-old brother of French Prime Minister Nicolas Sarkozy. That's a 17-year age gap. By Olsen standards, Elizabeth is practically cradle robbing.
Ashley Olsen is not at all engaged, as of this writing. But she was always the career-driven one.
Lots of change is in the air for Elizabeth Olsen: Her rise to stardom has been mostly indie-driven thus far, but she's about to take a major role in the "Avengers" sequel.
Costar Samuel L. Jackson spilled the beans on Elizabeth's role in “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
“I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen, but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script,” Jackson told the Wall Street Journal.
