First picture of the ‘Suicide Squad’ cast released

The first cast photo from the upcoming DC Comic’s film “Suicide Squad” was tweeted by the film’s director David Ayrers (Fury, The Fast and The Furious) this weekend.

The photo shows nearly the entire cast in costume, including Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

Noticeably absent from the line up is the Joker, who will be played by Jared Leto. We’re assuming that this means the Joker will be the villain of the upcoming film.

The Suicide Squad is about a group of villains from the DC comic book universe recruited by the US government for suicide missions in exchange for shortened jail sentences.

David Ayers also recently shared a photo of Jared Leto as the Joker, which garnered attention for it’s radical look, and deviation from the most recent depiction of the character by Heath Ledger.

Suicide Squad is slated to be released August of 2016.
