As slow as spring was to arrive, it didn’t linger. The lazy days of summer are here in all but the date on the calendar, but there’s more than one way to fight the humidity.
Today, beginning at 4 p.m., do it with ice cream (or sorbet, or gelato) during Free Cone Day at Häagen-Dazs shops. New this year aretwo flavors from the Brooklyn-based ice cream maker’s new Artisan Collection: Chocolate Caramelized Oat and Banana Rum Jam — the latter was created by the ladies of The Jam Stand.
Free Cone Day ends at 8 p.m., so dawdle at your sweet tooth’s risk.
