Nas' groundbreaking hip-hop record "Illmatic" is now 21 years old, and last year it received a documentary worthy of its importance. "Time is Illmatic" looks at both the history of the album and its impact on the culture through today.
The film will be screened for free outside tonight, September 9, on the Morningside Park Upper Lawn. To prep, please read our piece from last year reporting from a Nas press conference, in which he spoke about the album's impact and how it inspires him to this day.
